Sailing daily from Big Buddha Beach to a destination around Koh Samui Island or Koh Phangan island we take special care to ensure our guests have the facilities, the space, the food, the beverages and the atmosphere to have a truly memorable Thailand holiday experience.

Koh Samui is a relatively untouched area in terms of sailing. Currently there are no marinas available so the limited number of yachts tend to be used by determined locals or visitors who make the effort to bring their own boat on their Thailand holiday. Water sport activity is also very limited, primarily related to diving or jet skis. Sailing in the Samui Archipelago with Kia Ora Catamaran Charters can therefore feel exclusive while still being close to the comforts of your Koh Samui hotel.

Kia Ora is the only day sailing or sunset cruise catamaran charter operation of its kind in Koh Samui. We are focused on providing a high standard of service from the time we pick you up from your Koh Samui hotel through to the time we return you. We provide all food and beverages so the only requirement from you is to bring your swimming suit, perhaps a book to read, an appetite for great food and drink and be prepared for a relaxing time out on the water.

Kia Ora operates all year round taking between 2 and 35 people sailing daily. It is perfect for a romantic honeymoon sunset cruise, a family group private charter, weddings or a corporate event, but please ensure you book early as we do fill up quickly - especially in high season when sailing in the Samui archipelago becomes a great way to get away from the crowds in Chaweng Beach.

Day Trip

10.00am - 4.00pm

Sailing from Koh Samui's Northern Beaches of Big Buddha Beach or Bophut Beach, we'll cruise to tranquil and pristine destinations on Koh Phangan allowing enough time for you to swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters far removed from the maddening crowds.

Sunset Cruise

4.30pm - 6.30pm

The Sunsets in Samui can be spectacular and when out on Kia Ora, you not only get a fantastic view, but also get the wonderful relaxing feeling from sailing along on the warm tropical seas

Angthon Marine Park

Angthon Marine Park is a special place to go. It is also far away from our base so we only go there on private charters. It takes us around 4 hours to sail there each way and if we spend some time in the park, the whole day would be at least 10 hours.

Price of Day Trip

Thai Baht 3,800 (+VAT) per person
Children from 3 - 12 years 1/2 price, under 3 years free

Thai Baht 65,000 (+VAT) for up to 20 people, plus
an additional Thai Baht 1,000 per person from 21 to 30 people

Price of Sunset Cruise

Thai Baht 2,500 (+VAT) per person
Children from 3 - 12 years 1/2 price, under 3 years free

The price includes
Transfers from / to the hotel
All food and all drinks (including beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks)

or for private charter
Thai Baht 45,000 (+VAT) for up to 20 people, plus
an additional Thai Baht 500 per person from 21 to 35 people

Refund Policy:

If cancellation by the customer occurs less than 24 hours prior to the trip, the deposit of 25% of fare is forfeited. If cancellation occurs more than 24 hours prior to the trip then the full fare less any unrecoverable agent fees is refunded (reservations via the Kia Ora website do not occur any agent fees).

Weather problems may cause the trip to be cancelled, delayed or shortened. If the weather is not suitable to start the trip, the customer will be offered a vacant seat on a trip within 14 days. If the customer is not able to take the alternative trip offered, the fee less any unrecoverable agent fees will be refunded. No compensation is offered in any situation to change flights or holiday plans. No refund is offered for time lost due to medical evacuation of a passenger or reduction in trip duration due to bad weather.
